Joseph Emberton was a pioneer of modern architecture
in England. Duringthe 1930s he was responsible for the design of some buildings
which have become icons of design for that period.

(HABS) and the Historic American Engineering Record (HAER) are among the

The Construction History Society exists to
focus the attention of the construction industry and associated professions
on the importance of preserving the records of our built environment so
that they are available to future historians, planners and craftsmen.

The Centre for Window & Cladding Technology
is an industrial research, education and training centre based at the University
of Bath. The Centre is guided by its ten industry sponsors and has 120

The Centre was founded in 1990 in response to growing technical problems
being experienced with cladding. The Centre is involved in three main activities:

IBPSA (the International Building Performance
Simulation Association) is a non-profit international society of building
performance simulation researchers, developers and practitioners, dedicated
to improving the built environment.
The International Code Council (ICC) was established
in 1994 as a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing a single set
of comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes throughout
the United States
