The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) has a responsibility to care for the unique documents in its Collections, preserving them for future generations. We ask readers to read and follow these conditions of use so that we can ensure that our records are kept in good condition and in good order. 1. Users are required to complete requisition forms for the production of documents. The signing of the requisition form implies an agreement to abide by the conditions of use. One requisition slip is required for each box, unless the boxes have consecutive numbers. 2. Production of documents is at the discretion of the archivist. Documents will not be produced where a closure period exists, and fragile documents requiring conservation may be withheld. 3. Only one box or volume will be produced at a time. Users may place orders for several boxes, and these will be reserved behind the Enquiry Desk. 4. Users are required to occupy a place designated by the duty staff and are held responsible for the documents from the time of issue until they are returned to the Library Desk. 5. Users are required to use pencils and to handle the documents with care. |
6. Documents must be left in the order in which they were found. 7. Documents must not be leant on, folded, marked or traced. 8. Reproduction: |
